Muted tonesElegant, understated and timeless

Soft greys, gentle beiges and off-whites give the room a calm, sophisticated feel and make it look lighter and more spacious. They suit open-plan living and make a quiet backdrop for a bold splashback or statement lighting.

Questions
Modern luxe kitchen FAQs

Short answers to what people ask us about modern luxe style kitchens.

What is a modern luxe style kitchen?
A sleek, contemporary kitchen with a luxurious feel: muted colours, rich wood and marble-look surfaces, with clean lines and very little clutter. It is about quality materials and fine details rather than ornament.
How do I make a kitchen look luxurious without it feeling cold?
Balance cool surfaces with warm ones. Pair grey or black doors with oak or walnut, add warm lighting under the wall units, and choose one metal finish, such as brushed brass, for handles and taps.
Should I choose matt or gloss doors for a modern luxe kitchen?
Both work. Matt lacquer looks soft and calm and hides fingerprints, while high gloss reflects light and makes a smaller room feel bigger. Many of our customers mix the two, with gloss wall units over matt base units.
Which kitchen ranges suit a modern luxe style?
Schüller Matera and Siena in deep matt colours, Avola for real-looking wood grain, Targa for a dramatic metal effect and Gala for true high gloss lacquer. Nobilia designer kitchens are a great value alternative. You can see door samples of every range in our Cardiff showroom.
How much does a modern luxe kitchen cost?
The style does not change the price much; the size of the room, the range and the appliances do. Complete kitchens with us start from £12k. Try our kitchen price estimator for a guide.
