Eclectic kitchens

Bold colour, mixed materials and pieces with a story. An eclectic kitchen breaks a few rules on purpose, and a well-made German kitchen gives it a calm, solid base to build on.

Navy blue#23324A

Navy blueBlending tradition with modern flair

A deep navy gives the room a calm, grown-up base, so bolder accents can stand out. It looks rich next to brass handles, exposed brick and warm oak, and suits modern and vintage pieces alike.

YellowA ray of sunshine in your kitchen

Yellow makes a kitchen feel warm and welcoming, especially in a room with good daylight. Use it on a run of doors, an island or one wall, in any shade from soft lemon to deep mustard.

PinkA pop of personality

Modern pinks are soft and sophisticated. Dusty pink sits beautifully with brass and copper, and looks striking against dark cabinets or warm wood. Bring it in on walls, tiles or bar stools.

Questions
Eclectic kitchen FAQs

Short answers to what people ask us about eclectic style kitchens.

What is an eclectic style kitchen?
One that mixes colours, materials and eras on purpose: a bold painted door next to warm wood, vintage lights over a modern worktop. It feels personal because it is put together around the things you love.
How do I stop an eclectic kitchen looking cluttered?
Keep the cabinet doors themselves simple and let two or three colours do the talking. Repeat each colour or metal at least twice in the room so it looks planned. Your designer will help you balance it on the 3D plan.
Can I mix handle and tap finishes?
Yes. Two metal finishes, for example brass handles with a black tap, look deliberate. More than two starts to look accidental.
Which kitchen ranges suit an eclectic style?
Ranges that come in lots of colours work best. Schüller Alea Matt and Siena come in all 28 matt lacquer colours, and Biella in all 28 satin colours. Nobilia Modern classic is a great value alternative. You can see door samples of every range in our Cardiff showroom.
How much does an eclectic kitchen cost?
The style does not change the price much; the size of the room, the range and the appliances do. Complete kitchens with us start from £12k. Try our kitchen price estimator for a guide.
