If you’re planning on updating your kitchen, one question that is likely to be top of your list is “How Much Will it Cost?”

Whether you’re updating a small practical kitchen or about to be featured on the next series of ‘Grand Designs’, people want to know how much they’re going to spend. However, if you’ve pitched this question to a kitchen designer or sales person then, chances are, you’ve heard answers like “How long is a piece of string?” or “How much do you want to spend?” (They just love answering questions with questions don’t they?)

In reality, the cost of a German Kitchen really does depend on lots of factors which can change the price of your kitchen drastically… Factors such as the size of your room, the range of doors you choose, do you want laminate worktops or a solid surface such as quartz or Corian, do you need your fridge, oven and dishwasher to talk to each other or are you happy with entry level appliances? (Personally I don’t like the idea of my white goods talking about me behind my back… but that’s just me!)
